The Falcons announced on Tuesday they have placed S Johnathan Cyprien on injured reserve.
Atlanta just traded for Cyprien recently from the Eagles, so this is another blow to a faltering Falcons defense.
The Falcons also signed CB D.J. White off the Eagles practice squad and promoted OL John Wetzel to the active roster. Atlanta signed P Sam Irwin-Hill to the practice squad and released TE Carson Meier.
Cyprien, 29, is a former second-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2013. He played out his four-year, $5,469,104 contract with the Jaguars before signing a four-year, $25 million contract with the Titans in 2016.
Cyprien was set to make base salaries of $4.5 million and $5.5 million over the next two years of the agreement when the Titans released him during the offseason. He later signed a one-year deal with the Eagles before being traded to the Falcons after a few games.
In 2019, Cyprien has appeared in five games and recorded three tackles.
