According to Vaughn McClure, Panthers free agent Ed Dickson is the tight end he keeps hearing associated with the Falcons as a potential target for them this offseason.
Atlanta should be in the market for tight following the news that they’re releasing TE Levine Toilolo (NFLTR).
Dickson, 30, is a former third-round pick of the Panthers back in 2010. He spent four years in Baltimore before signing on with the Panthers for the 2014 season.
Dickson just played out the final year of his three-year, $6,100,000 contract with the Panthers and is in position to once again be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
In 2017, Dickson appeared in all 16 games for the Panthers and caught 30 passes for 437 yards receiving and one touchdown. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 32 tight end out of 72 qualifying players.
