The Atlanta Falcons announced Tuesday that they’ve promoted CB Deante Burton to their active roster.
Burton, 24, wound up signing on with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Kansas State back in 2017. He was waived coming out of the preseason and later signed to the Falcons’ practice squad.
Atlanta brought Burton back on a futures contract this past January only to cut him loose last weekend and later sign him to their practice squad.
During his college career at KSU, Burton played receiver and caught 84 passes for 1,085 yards receiving and five touchdowns over the course of 32 games.
