The Atlanta Falcons announced Friday that they’ve promoted S Chris Cooper to their active roster.
Cooper, 25, wound up signing on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Stony Brook back in 2018. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 miilion contract with the Colts, but was waived with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and later reverted to their injured reserve list.
The Colts eventually cut Cooper loose and he had a brief stint on the Bengals’ practice squad before joining the Chiefs for the playoffs last year. The Falcons signed him in April before later adding him to their practice squad.
Cooper has yet to appear in an NFL game.
