According to Tom Pelissero, the Falcons have requested an interview with Rams director of college scouting Brad Holmes.
Atlanta will also interview Saints assistant GM Terry Fontenot on Wednesday, per Albert Breer.
Both candidates are hot names in the general manager cycle this year. Fontenot is set to interview with the Lions the day before he talks to the Falcons.
Holmes also interviewed for the Lions GM vacancy a couple of weeks ago. He has been in his position with Los Angeles for the past eight seasons and helped oversee drafts for the Rams without the benefit of a first-round pick for the past several years.
“He’s become a valued voice in our organization as part of our leadership team on social justice and diversity issues helping us lead a diverse group of people,” Rams chief operating officer Kevin Demoff said. “Brad is one of the more valued voices we have in our building.”
Holmes, 41, has spent the entirety of his 18-year NFL career with the Rams, starting as a public relations intern and working his way up to director of college scouting.
Fontenot has been with the Saints for the past 17 seasons, including seven as the director of pro scouting and seven as a pro scout.
Fontenot played four years as a safety at Tulane. He graduated with a degree in business and organizational information technology and got his start with the Saints shortly after.
