The Atlanta Falcons announced Tuesday that they’ve placed NT Paul Soliai on season-ending injured reserve and promoted tight end D.J. Tialavea to their active roster.
Soliai, 31, is in the second year of his five-year, $32 million contract that includes $14 million guaranteed. He’ll make a base salary of $3 million this season to go along with another $5 million in 2016.
His 2015 season ends with him appearing in 14 games and recording 22 tackles and a fumble recovery for the Falcons. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 28 defensive tackle out of 71 qualifying players.
