Falcons Sign Former Bears RB Michael Ford

The Atlanta Falcons have signed RB Michael Ford to a contract on Friday, according to Vaughn McClure of ESPN.

The Falcons are dealing with some injuries at the running back position now that Devonta Freeman and rookie Tevin Coleman are both nursing hamstring injuries.

Ford, 25, originally signed on with the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of LSU back in 2013. He lasted over a year in Chicago before he was waived just a few weeks before the start of the season.

He last appeared in an NFL game during the 2013 season, but only contributed 37 kick return yards and never received a carry over the course of 12 games.
