The Atlanta Falcons announced Monday that they have signed S Jason Thompson to a contract.
Thompson, 25, wound up going undrafted out of Utah back in May of 2017. He signed on with the Patriots but spent just a few months in New England before he was waived at the start of the regular season.
Thompson had brief stints with the Bears, Seahawks, Cowboys, Titans, and Redskins before he caught on with the Packers late last season. Thompson returned to Green Bay on a futures contract, but was cut loose Shortly after the draft.
Thompson actually began his college career as a quarterback at Wyoming before transferring to Utah and converting to defensive back for the 2015 season.
In total, Thompson recorded 21 tackles and a fumble recovery at Utah.
