The Atlanta Falcons announced that they’ve signed DE Martin Ifedi and OL Marquis Lucas to contracts on Thursday and waived LB Christian Tago.
Ifedi, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Rams back in 2015. He lasted just a few months with the Rams before he was waived coming out of the preseason and later signed to the Buccaneers’ practice squad.
Ifedi returned to Tampa Bay on a future/reserve contract last January of last year but was unfortunately among the team’s final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.
The Falcons later signed him to their practice squad in late December and brought him back on a futures deal. However, they cut him loose a few months ago.
During his college career, Ifedi recorded 139 tackles, 20 sacks, four forced fumbles, three recoveries and four pass defenses.
