According to Tom Pelissero, the Falcons are signing DT Michael Bennett to a contract on Tuesday.
Pelissero adds that the Falcons worked out some edge rushers on Tuesday including Robert Ayers and Kony Ealy, but hey needed some interior defensive line depth.
Bennett, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2015. He was in the third year of his four-year, $2,418,700 contract and set to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season when the Jaguars waived him coming out of the preseason.
In 2017, Bennett was limited to appearing in just one game and recorded one tackle and a pass defense before being placed on injured reserve.
