The Atlanta Falcons announced Saturday that they’ve placed safety Afolabi Laguda on waivers.
Laguda, 23, wound up signing on with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado back in May of last year. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Rams, but was waived with an injury designation coming out of the preseason.
Laguda later reverted to the Rams’ injured reserve list before being waived soon after. The Falcons signed him to a contract this past April.
During this college career at Colorado, Laguda recorded 143 tackles, two interceptions, seven pass defenses, a forced fumble and a recovery over the course of 34 games.
