Former Jets WR ArDarius Stewart Arrested For Carrying Gun Without Permit

Michael Casagrande of Al.com reports that former Jets WR ArDarius Stewart was taken to jail Thursday morning for carrying a pistol without a permit and was held on $500 bond.

Stewart, 24, is a former third-round pick of Jets back in 2017. He was in the second year of his four-year, $3.25 million contract when the Jets waived him a few weeks into the 2018 season.

Stewart later signed on to the Jets’ practice squad before the Raiders signed him. From there, Stewart finished out the season with the Redsksins and returned to Washington on a futures contract.

However, the Redskins cut him loose soon after.

In 2017, Stewart appeared in 15 games for the Jets and caught just six passes for 82 yards receiving and no touchdowns. He also rushed for 27 yards and contributed 173 kick return yards on special teams.
