According to Ian Rapoport, former NFL QB Tarvaris Jackson passed away last night in a car accident in Alabama.
Jackson, a former player for the Vikings, Bills and Seahawks, was the current quarterback coach at Tennessee State.
Jackson, 36, was a former second-round pick of the Vikings back in 2006. He spent five years in Minnesota before signing on with the Seahawks in 2011. He spent five years in Seattle before the team allowed him to leave in free agency.
Over the course of his nine-year career, Jackson appeared in 60 games and threw for 7,263 yards, 39 touchdowns and 35 interceptions while completing 59.6 percent of his passes. He also rushed for 630 yards and six touchdowns.
