Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that free agent DEย Corey Woottonย tried out for the Titansย this week.
Tennessee has added a few notable pass-rushers this offseason in Brian Orakpo and Derrick Morgan, so itย could be tough to crack the team’s 53-man roster at outside linebacker this summer.
Wootton, 27, is a former fourth round pick of the Bears back in 2010. He wound up playing out his rookie contract with the team before signing a one-year, $1.5 million deal with the Vikings last March.
In 2014, Wootton, appeared in 15 games for Minnesota and recorded 16 tackles, one sacks and a pass defense.ย Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 55 defensive end in a 4-3 systemย out of 59 qualifying players.
