Free Agent DE Corey Wootton Tried Out For Titans

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that free agent DE Corey Wootton tried out for the Titans this week.

Tennessee has added a few notable pass-rushers this offseason in Brian Orakpo and Derrick Morgan, so it could be tough to crack the team’s 53-man roster at outside linebacker this summer.

Wootton, 27, is a former fourth round pick of the Bears back in 2010. He wound up playing out his rookie contract with the team before signing a one-year, $1.5 million deal with the Vikings last March.

In 2014, Wootton, appeared in 15 games for Minnesota and recorded 16 tackles, one sacks and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 55 defensive end in a 4-3 system out of 59 qualifying players.

  1. Why don’t you give Vince Young a chance.. He wouldn’t cost a lot and He can still play at a HIGH level….
His career won/loss record is 31-19… He has playoff experience … He’s a 2 time Pro-Bowler… He was voted 2006 NFL Rookie of the Year….. The NFL is all about “WINS and LOSSES”…. and this guy WINS…. There is a big difference between Perception and Reality.
If you can use a good man at backup QB… Bring this guy in and judge him as such.. A backup…
