On Saturday, free agent LB Gerald Hodges announced that he’s officially retiring from the NFL.

Hodges, 28, is a former fourth-round pick of the Vikings back in 2013. Minnesota elected to trade Hodges to the 49ers in return for a sixth-round pick and C Nick Easton back in 2015.
Hodges played out the final year of his four-year, $2.58 million rookie contract and signed a one-year deal with the Bills in 2017. He later caught on with the Saints before signing a one-year contract with the Cardinals last year.
For his career, Hodges recorded 274 tackles, 3.5 sacks, three interceptions, a forced fumble, a recovery, a defensive touchdown and nine pass defenses over the course of six seasons and 81 games.
