Free Agent LB Sean Lee Says He Plans To Play In 2020

Cowboys free agent LB Sean Lee tells Todd Archer of ESPN that he does, in fact, plan to return for the 2020 season.

“I’m playing,” Lee said.

Lee explained that he loves the game and looks forward to continuing his NFL career.

“Just love the game and feel like I can still help a team win,” Lee said. “It’s always great to be part of the NFL and play the game you love.”

Last week, Lee said he was exploring his options right now to continue his NFL career.

“I’m waiting to kind of explore what some of my options are,” Lee said, via Mike Fisher of SI.com.

Lee did, however, make it clear that he loves playing for the Cowboys and is hoping to be back in Dallas.

“I love it in Dallas and I love the Cowboys,” Lee said. “I hope it works out, for sure.

Lee, 33, is a former second-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2010. He played out the final year of his seven-year, $42.63 million that included $16.1 million guaranteed.

Lee is now in position to test the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2019, Lee appeared in all 16 games for the Cowboys and recorded 86 tackles, one sack, an interception, and four passes defended.
