Free agent S Tre Boston posted on his Twitter account that he visited with the Steelers and enjoyed meeting with their coaching staff. He’s now apparently scheduled to meet with the Chargers and Bills in the coming days.

A report from a few months ago mentioned that a few teams expressed interest in possibly trading for Boston. However, the Panthers elected to cut him loose earlier in the week.
Boston, 24, is a former fourth-round pick of the Panthers back in 2014. He was in the final year of his four-year, $2,625,468 contract and set to make a base salary of $690,000 for the 2017 season when the Panthers cut him in a move that freed up $1,797,000 of available cap space.
In 2016, Boston appeared in 15 games for the Panthers and recorded 53 tackles, two sacks, two interceptions and seven pass defenses.ย Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 46 safety out of 89 qualifying players.
