Giants CB Sam Beal was officially placed on the opt-out list on Wednesday.
Beal, 23, was selected in the third round of the 2018 supplemental draft. He signed a four-year, $4.08 million contract that included a $1,048,940 signing bonus.
Unfortunately, Beal spent his rookie season on injured reserve with a shoulder injury. He was on injured reserve last year before being designated to return in November.
In 2019, Beal appeared in six games for the Giants and recorded 26 tackles, no interceptions and a pass defense.
eal recorded 92 tackles, two tackles for a loss, two interceptions, 19 pass defenses and a forced fumble over the course of three seasons at Western Michigan and 32 games played.
