Giants Claim S Montre Hartage Off Waivers

Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the New York Giants have claimed S Montre Hartage off of waivers from the Dolphins on Tuesday.

Hartage is reunited with DC Patrick Graham in New York.

Hartage, 22, wound up going undrafted out of Northwestern back in April of last year. He later signed a three-year, $1.755 million contract with the Dolphins, but was unfortunately waived coming out of the preseason.

Miami re-signed Hartage to their practice squad after he cleared waivers and eventually promoted him to their active roster.

In 2019, Hartage appeared in four games for the Dolphins and recorded eight tackles and no interceptions.

During his college career at Northwestern, Hartage recorded 172 tackles, nine interceptions, a forced fumble, two recoveries and 26 pass defenses over the course of four seasons and 40 games.
