Field Yates reports that the Giants brought in free agent CB Morris Claiborne and DT Corey Liuget on free agent visits Wednesday.
Claiborne, 29, is a former first-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2012. He played out his rookie contract with Dallas before returning to the team on a one-year, $3 million for the 2016 season.
Last year, Claiborne departed for a one-year contract worth $5 million with the Jets and re-signed with New York to another one-year, $7 million deal last year.
In 2018, Claiborne appeared in 15 and recorded 57 total tackles, two interceptions, 14 pass defenses, and scored one defensive touchdown.
Liuget missed the first four games of the 2018 season, due to a suspension for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drugs policy. He landed on the injured reserve after sustained a right knee injury during Week 11.
Liuget, 28, is a former first-round pick of the Chargers back in 2011. He finished the fourth year of his six-year, $58.219 million contract that included $30.477 million guaranteed when the Chargers declined his option lats month.
In 2018, Liuget appeared in five games for the Chargers and recorded 14 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and a forced fumble for the Chargers.
