Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that tests have confirmed that Giants OLB Lorenzo Carter suffered a ruptured Achilles during Sunday’s game against the Cowboys.
Indications were that this was a bad injury for Carter and unfortunately it turns out it was as bad as anticipated.
You can expect the Giants to place him on injured reserve in the coming days and add someone to their roster.
Carter, 24, is a former third-round pick of the Giants back in 2018. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $3,509,804 contract that includes a $1,049,804 signing bonus.
In 2020, Carter appeared in five games for the Giants and recorded 15 tackles, a sack and a pass defense.
