The New York Giants announced a series of roster moves on Thursday including placing LB J.T. Thomas on injured reserve.
- The Giants also promoted DE Nordly Capi to their more active roster, signed LB Deontae Skinner, and waived TE Shane Smith.
Thomas, 28, is a former sixth-round pick of the Bears back in 2011. He spent a few years in Chicago before joining the Jaguars in 2013 and later signing a three-year, $10 million contract that included $4.5 million guaranteed back in 2015.
Thomas is in the final year of his contract and was set to make a base salary of $2.975 million for the 2017 season.
In 2017, Thomas appeared in two games but did not record a statistic for the Giants.
