According to Jordan Raanan of ESPN, recently released S Kurt Coleman is at the Combine in Indianapolis meeting with prospects teams.

Raanan specifically mentions the Giants, who have obvious ties to Coleman with Dave Gettleman in place as their GM, along with the Saints and Bills as a few teams to keep an eye on for him.

It’s worth mentioning that signing Coleman to a contract won’t impact a team’s 2019 compensatory picks, given that he was released this offseason.

Coleman, 29, is a former seventh-round pick of the Eagles back in 2010. He spent four years with the Eagles before joining the Chiefs for the 2014 season.

The Panthers signed him to a contract a year later and eventually signed him to a four-year, $18.2 million contract that included $7 million guaranteed in 2016. Coleman was set to make base salaries of $3.5 million and $3.75 million over the final two years of the agreement when the Panthers recently cut him loose.

In 2017, Coleman appeared in 12 games for the Panthers and recorded 76 tackles, a fumble recovery and three pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 76 safety out of 87 qualifying players.
