Former Buccaneers DT Everett Dawkins announced Thursday that he has signed with the New York Giants.

Tampa Bay waived Dawkins last week as they cleared room for veteran DL Robert Talley.
Dawkins, 24, was a seventh-round selection of the Vikings last year, but he would later be signed off of the team’s practice squad by the Cowboys. He appeared in just one game for the Bucs and didn’t register a single tackle.
He’ll have to compete for a roster spot in training camp.
