Giants Sign LB Deone Bucannon, Waive LB Tuzar Skipper

The Giants announced on Tuesday they have signed LB Deone Bucannon to the roster.

To make room on the roster, New York waived LB Tuzar Skipper.

New York has struggled with its depth at linebacker all season and Bucannon has some familiarity with DC James Bettcher‘s scheme from their time in Arizona together.

Bucannon, 27, is a former first-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $7,709,200 contract when the Cardinals picked up his fifth-year option last year.

Bucannon left Arizona as an unrestricted free agent this past offseason and signed a one-year deal with the Buccaneers. He was released a few weeks ago.

In 2019, Bucannon has appeared in five games for the Buccaneers and recorded one tackle.
