Jordan Raanan of NJ.com hears that the Giants have placedย LB James Morris on waivers Monday.
According to Raanan, the Giants are trimming a few roster spots to make room for players they plan to sign following tryouts this past weekend.
Morris, 24, wound up signing on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa back in 2014. He was able to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season and returned to New England on an exclusive rights deal last year.
However, he was among their final roster cuts before later signing to the Giants practice squad.
In 2015, Morris appeared in six games for the Giants and recorded two tackles.
