Giants Working Out Veteran S Corey Lynch

According to Mike Kaye of First Coast News, the Giants will work out veteran S Corey Lynch on Monday.

This comes after the news that the Giants lost S Bennett Jackson for the season due to a torn right ACL.

New York previously lost Mykkele Thompson for the year with an Achilles’ tear, and second-round pick Landon Collins is dealing with an MCL sprain. This prompted the Giants to sign Brandon Meriweather to a contract in recent weeks, but they could still use even more depth at the position.

Lynch, 30, if a former sixth-round pick of the Bengals back in 2008. However, he lasted just over a year in Cincinnati before he was placed on waivers.

Since then, Lynch has played for a number of teams including the Buccaneers, Chargers, Titans, and most recently with the Colts.

Lynch hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since the 2013 season while playing for the Colts. That year, he appeared in eight games and totaled six tackles while contributing on special teams.
