Alex Marvez of the Sporting News reports that the Ravens are re-signing Greg Roman, despite reports that he could leave Baltimore. According to Marvez, Roman will be the team’s assistant HC/TEs coach.
Roman really helped to improve the Ravens’ rushing attack this past season and the expectation is that he will continue to assist offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg next year.
Roman, 45, began his NFL coaching career with the Panthers back in 1995 as their offensive line assistant. He had short stints with the Texans and Ravens before later being hired as the 49ers to run their offense in 2011.
Roman spent four years in San Francisco and was later brought in by the Bills as their offensive coordinator in January of last year. Unfortunately, the Bills elected parted ways with Roman just a few weeks into the regular season and promoted Anthony Lynn as his replacement.
The Ravens hired Roman as theirย senior assistant tight ends coach last year.
