According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, the three head coaches who could end up being on the hot in the coming weeks include Jaguars HC Gus Bradley, Bears HC John Fox, and Bengals HC Marvin Lewis.
In regards to Bradley, Rapoport mentions that his job is “very seriously” in jeopardy after what has been another disappointing season for the Jaguars. Rapoport goes as far to say it would be a surprise if Bradley is back next year, given that the team clearly hasn’t played up to their level of talent.
Rapoport says that with the Bears moving backward this year and now in position for a top-five draft pick, Fox is clearly on the hot seat.
As for Lewis, Rapoport mentions that the Bengals are still without a playoff win and the team has really struggled this year. Although, they’ve dealt with a lot of injuries. One thing that could save Lewis’ job is his relationship with the Bengals owner Mike Brown.
Some hot head-coaching candidates to watch in the coming months, according to Rapoport, include Patriots OC Josh McDaniels, Eagles DC Jim Schwartz, and Bills OC Anthony Lynn.
We’ll have more regarding these coaches as the news is available.
