New York Giants WR Hakeem Nicks joined WFNZ in Charlotte and mentioned that he “definitely” expects to be healthy in time for the start of training camp.
“Definitely making training camp,” said Nicks, via Sports Radio Interviews. “I started running about two weeks [ago] but the coaches donโt really want me to force the issue right now. … They want me to just take my time with it โ they feel like thatโs whatโs best. … But Iโll definitely be ready for the season.”
Nicks has been able to lose his walking boot in recent days as he recovers from foot surgery. It was assumed that Giants second-round pick Rueben Randle would be able to step in, should Nicks have missed some time with his injury, but recent reports mentioned that Randle has struggled a bit with the team’s offense, so I’m sure that they’re very happy with Nicks’ current status.
