Arizona State LB Vontaze Burfict has been one of the more intriguingย story-linesย of this years draft as he’s gone from a surefire first-round pick, to a day-three talent in the eyes of many NFL scouts. His Pro Day was supposed to be the perfect opportunity to display his overall talent and answer some of the questions that have been surrounding him in recent months, but Tony Pauline of SI.com mentioned that Burfict was largely disappointing again on Friday.
Pauline tweets that he was “not good in position drills (I’m watering that down).” Pauline added that a scout actually told him that he actually feels bad for Burfict.
Burfict managed to total 16 reps of 225 pounds during today’s workout but the character concerns as well as his poor game tape has him as one of this years riskiest draftย prospects. I know this might sound crazy, but there’s actually a chance that this kid doesn’t goes undrafted next month.
