Mike Garafolo reports that the Jaguars have reached an agreement withย QB Chad Henne on a two-year contract.
- Alex Marvez reports that Henne receives a two-year deal worthย $8 million deal that incentives andย $4.5 millionย guaranteed.
- Marvez adds thatย Henne’s guaranteed figure breaks down to a $1.5 million signing bonus and $3 million roster bonus.
Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Unionย reported Thursday that “expectations inside EverBank Field is that Jaguars get contract done with QBย Chad Henneย before Saturday.”
Apparently, O’Halloran was spot on with his report as the deal got done in less than 24 hours since he posted it to Twitter.
The Jaguars used both Chad Henne and Blaine Gabbert last season, but Henne was the more productive player of the two.
Henne, 28, completed 60.6 percent of his passes whileย throwing for 3,241 yards, 13 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.
It’s worth mentioning that the Pro Football Focus has him rated as the worst qualifying quarterback in the league last year.
