Jaguars Not Giving In To Maurice Jones-Drew?

Peter King of Sports Illustrated believes that the Jaguars are going to let Maurice Jones-Drew sit and allow Rashad Jennings to handle the majority of the teamโ€™s workload this season.

King mentions that the Jaguars coaching staff, as well as the local media, have praised backup running back Jennings.

Jones-Drew has base salaries of $4.5 million and $4.95 million left for the next two seasons, but itโ€™s not going to be easy for him to secure a long-term agreement at this point in his career. If anyoneโ€™s to blame, itโ€™s probably Jones-Drewโ€™s agent for putting him in this position.

Jennings has shown promise in the past, but injuries have really impacted his productivity in yearโ€™s past. Hopefully that will change this season.
