According to Ian Rapoport, the Jaguars have placed a second-round tender on WR Keelan Cole.
Cole was slated to be a restricted free agent this offseason. He joined Jacksonville as an undrafted free agent, so the team is clearly trying to make sure it doesn’t lose him to an offer sheet.
A second-round tender is projected to cost around $3.27 million for the 2020 season and ensures that they would get a second-round pick should they decline to match an offer sheet from another team.
Cole, 26, signed with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Kentucky Wesleyan in 2017. He made Jacksonville’s roster each of the past three seasons and made a base salary of $645,000 last year.
In 2019, Cole appeared in all 16 games for the Jaguars and caught 24 passes for 361 yards (15.0 YPC) and three touchdowns.
