Jaguars Place WR Allen Robinson On I.R. & Activate TE Marcedes Lewis

The Jacksonville Jaguars have placed rookie WRย Allen Robinson on season-ending injured reserve and activated TE Marcedes Lewis from the short-termย injured reserve list, according to Hays Carlyon.

The Jaguars’ receiving corps has been hit hard with injuries this season as guys like Cecil Shorts, Allen Hurns and fellow rookie Marqise Lee have all missed time due to injury.

Robinson, 21, will finish his rookie campaign with 48 receptions for 548 yards receiving and two touchdowns over the course of 10 games.ย Robinson has a bright future in the NFL and should be in position to take a step in his development next year.

Lewis, 30, is in the fourth year of hisย five-year, $35 million contract that included $17 million guaranteedย and stands to makeย a base salary ofย $6.65 million for the 2015 season.

He was placed onย injured reserve with an ankle injuryย following their Week 1 match up.
