The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Friday that they’ve signed S Doug Middleton to their practice squad and released TE Matt Flanagan from the unit.

Here’s the Jaguars updated practice squad:

  1. RB Nathan Cottrell
  2. TE Ben Ellefson
  3. LB Nate Evans
  4. LB Joe Giles-Harris
  5. WR Terry Godwin
  6. WR Josh Hammond
  7. T Kc McDermott
  8. T Austen Pleasants
  9. DT Caraun Reid
  10. G Tre’Vour Wallace-Simms
  11. P Brandon Wright
  12. WR Trey Quinn
  13. DB Josh Nurse
  14. DT Daniel Ekuale
  15. RB Craig Reynolds
  16. S Doug Middleton

Middleton, 26, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Appalachian State back in 2016. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was later signed to the team’s practice squad.

Middleton was on and off of the Jets roster over the next two years before eventually catching on with the Dolphins last year.

Since then, Middleton has had brief stints with the Jaguars and Titans.

In 2019, Middleton appeared in three games for the Jaguars and Dolphins and recorded two tackles.
