Jaguars Sign Veteran RB DuJuan Harris, Waive/Injured CB Charles Gaines

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced that they’ve signed veteran RB DuJuan Harris to a contract on Sunday and waived CB Charles Gaines with an injury designation.

Harris, 28, originally signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent free agent out of Troy back in 2011. He was later claimed off of waivers by the Steelers before catching on with the Packers in October of 2012.

After a few years in Green Bay, Harris has had brief stints with the Vikings, Saints, Seahawks and Ravens before he signed on to the 49ers’ active roster towards the end of the 2015 season.

The 49ers elected to bring him back on a one-year contract before releasing him shortly after this year’s draft.

In 2016, Harris appeared in 10 games and rushed for 138 yards on 38 carries (3.6 YPC) to go along with eight receptions for 115 yards receiving and one touchdown.
