Mike Garafolo reports that the Jaguars are signing former Packers LB Jake Ryan on Saturday. The agreement is pending a physical and the terms of Ryan’s contract aren’t known at this time.
The Packers reportedly expressed some interest in re-signing Ryan, but it looks like the Jaguars proved to be his best option.
Ryan, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Packers back in 2015. He finished out the final year of his four-year, $2,736,676 contract and made a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season.
However, Ryan was placed on injured reserve last August with a torn ACL. He’s now an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his NFL career.
In 2017, Ryan appeared in 15 games for the Packers and recorded 81 tackles, one sack, a forced fumble and a recovery.
We had him featured in our Top 100 Available Free Agents list.
