Jaguars Signing TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins To Two-Year, $10M Deal

Jordan Schultz is reporting that Jets free agent TEĀ Austin Seferian-Jenkins is signing a two-year contract with the Jaguars.

  • Connor Hughes reports that Seferian-Jenkins gets a two-year, $10 million contract from the Jaguars.

Seferian-Jenkins reportedly had interest from the Saints, Seahawks, Falcons and Jets along with the Jaguars. However, it looks like Jacksonville managed to close the deal on another notable free agent.

Seferian-Jenkins, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2014. The Buccaneers elected to move on fromĀ Seferian-Jenkins a few years ago after heĀ was arrested for driving under the influence and he was later claimed off of waivers from the Jets.

Seferian-Jenkins played out the final year of his four-year, $5.254 million contract and is set to be an unrestricted free agent for the first time this offseason.

In 2017, Seferian-Jenkins appeared in 13 games for the Jets and caught 50 passes for 357 yards receiving and three touchdowns.Ā Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 44 tight end out of 71 qualifying players.

We had him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
