Jaguars Waive TE Pharoah McKever

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced that they’ve waived TE Pharoah McKever on Friday to make room for OL Andrew Lauderdale, who was claimed off waivers from the Cardinals.

McKever, 25, wound up signing on with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of FIU back in May of last year. He lasted just a few months in Pittsburgh before he was waived coming out of the preseason and later signed to the Browns’ practice squad.

After Cleveland released him, McKever was signed by the Jaguars and returned to Jacksonville this past January on a futures contract.

During his college career at N.C. State and FIU, McKever caught 28 passes for 383 yards receiving and four touchdowns over the course of 21 games.
