Jaguars Worked Out Seven Players Including LB Corey Nelson

According to Howard Balzer, the Jaguars worked out seven players on Tuesday including LB Corey Nelson.

The full list of tryouts includes:

1. LB Zaire Anderson
2. LB Tre’von Johnson
3. LB Corey Nelson
4. FB Dimitri Flowers
5. FB Jay Prosch
6. TE Ryan O’Malley
7. WR Kalif Raymond

Nelson, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Broncos back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2,268,600 contract and made a base salary of $690,000 for the 2017 season before signing one-year, $1.6 million contract with the Eagles this past March.

Unfortunately, the Eagles elected to release Nelson in a move that cleared $1 million of available cap space. The Buccaneers brought him in for a workout this week, but he left Tampa Bay without a deal.

In 2017, Nelson appeared in five games for the Broncos and recorded four tackles and no sacks.
