According to Adam Schefter, the Jaguars are bringing in free-agent kickers Stephen Hauschka and Aldrick Rosas for tryouts in the coming days.
This comes after the Jaguars placed Josh Lambo on injured reserve.
Regarding Rosas, this is the first reported interest in him since he was released after legal issues relating to a hit-and-run he was involved in.
Hauschka, 35, originally signed on with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent back in 2008. He bounced around a bit with the Ravens, Falcons, Lions and Broncos before he was eventually claimed off of waivers by the Seahawks in 2011.
Hauschka spent the next six seasons in Seattle, but was replaced in 2015 after they elected to sign Blair Walsh to a contract. Hauschka later signed a three-year, $8.85 million deal with the Bills.
Buffalo signed him to a two-year, $8 million extension last year but cut him loose this offseason in a move that freed up $2,175,000 in cap space.
In 2019, Hauschka appeared in all 16 games for the Bills and converted 22 of 28 field goal attempts (78.6 percent) to go along with 30 of 32 extra point tries (93.8 percent).
Rosas, 25, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Oregon back 2017. He was unfortunately waived by Tennessee coming out of the preseason and never signed to a team’s practice squad during the regular season.
The Giants signed Rosas to a futures contract for the 2018 season and he went on to have a Pro Bowl season. He re-signed as an exclusive rights free agent in 2019 but was released this past summer.
In 2019, Rosas converted 12 of 17 field-goal attempts (70.6 percent) to go along with 35 of 39 extra-point tries (89.7 percent)
