The New York Jets announced Friday that they’ve completed their interview with former Dolphins HCย Adam Gase for their vacancy.
The list of reported interviews for the Jets includes:
- Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemyย (Interviewed)
- Former Dolphins HC Adam Gaseย (Interviewed)
- Cowboys passing game coordinator/DBs coach Kris Richardย (Expected)
- Buccaneers OC Todd Monken (Requested)
- Former Lions & Colts HC Jim Caldwell (Expected)
- Iowa State coach Matt Campbell (Declined)
- Former Packers HCย Mike McCarthy (Expected)
- USC OC Kliff Kingsbury (Expected)
Gase has also interviewed with the Cardinals and it’s possible other teams could show interest in him over the next few days.
Gase, 40, began his NFL coaching career with the Lions back in 2003 as a scouting assistant. He spent five years in Detroit before taking a job with the 49ers for the 2008 season.
The Broncos would later hire Gase as their WRs coach and he worked his way up to offensive coordinator before they replaced their coaching staff in 2015. Gase spent a year with the Bears before the Dolphins hired him as their head coach in 2016.
During his three years as the Dolphins’ head coach, Gase has led Miami to a record of 23-25 (47.9 percent), which includes one playoff appearance.
