According to Manish Mehta, the Jets are releasing QB Brandon Silvers.
Silvers threw for 777 yards, four touchdowns and one interception in three starts in the AAF.
Silvers wound up going undrafted out of Troy in 2018 and did not catch on with an NFL team. He was signed by the Jets last month after playing in the spring for the now-defunct Memphis Express of the AAF.
During his four-year college career at Troy, Silvers threw for 10,677 yards while completing 64.4 percent of his passes to go along with 71 touchdowns and 29 interceptions. He also rushed for 415 yards and 16 touchdowns over the course of 48 games.
