The New York Jets announced Wednesday that they’ve designated CB Bless Austin and TE Trevon Wesco to return from injured reserve.
This opens a three-week window of time for the Jets to activate them from injured reserve and add him to their 53-man roster.
Austin, 24, is a former sixth-round pick of the Jets back in 2019. He signed a four-year, $2.7 million contract with New York.
In 2020, Austin has appeared in eight games for the Jets and recorded 43 tackles, no interceptions, a forced fumble and three passes defended.
During his four-year college career at Rutgers, Austin recorded 89 tackles, two sacks, four interceptions, a defensive touchdown, a fumble recovery and a forced fumble over the course of 25 games.
