Polite will be one of the more interesting players to watch in this year’s draft, given that he’s one of the better pass rusher prospects.
However, he’s had a pretty bad pre-draft process that has included questionable interviews at the Combine and poor testing numbers.
Some have said that Polite could be in for a drop, possibly to Day 3 while others believe he could still be in play for a team in the latter portion of round one.
The Jets could be checking out Polite if he’s available for one of their two picks in the third round. If the Jets are able to trade back from No. 3 overall, they could also land a second-round pick to use on Polite.
During his three-year college career at Florida, Polite recorded 78 tackles, 15 sacks, eight forced fumbles, and four pass defenses.
