ProFootballTalk reports that the Jets are bringing in free agent OT Sam Young for a visit.
Connor Hughes notes that the Jets will be without OT Brent Qvale “for a bit” after he sustained a knee injury in training camp.
Young, 31, is a former sixth-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2010. He lasted just one year with Dallas before being claimed off of waivers by the Bills.
Young had a brief stint with the Jaguars before signing on with the Dolphins for the 2015 seasons. He’s been on and off of Miami’s roster since then.
The Saints brought him in for a workout earlier this offseason but he left New Orleans without a contract.
In 2018, Young appeared in 12 games for the Dolphins and made one start.
