The New York Jets officially placed S Rontez Miles on injured reserve to make room for CB Maurice Canaday, who was claimed off waivers from the Ravens.
Miles, 30, wound up signing on with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of California (PA) back in 2013. He was on and off of the Jets’ roster over the first three years with the team before managing to make the 53-man roster in 2015.
The Jets re-signed Miles to a one-year deal. He’s in line to be an unrestricted free agent in 2020.
In 2019, Miles appeared in seven games for the Jets and recorded three tackles and no interceptions.
