The New York Jets are signing CB Robert Nelson to the practice squad and released WR/KR Kalif Raymond from the unit, according to Brian Costello.

- CB Terrell Sinkfield
- OL Geoff Gray

Nelson, 27, originally signed on with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Arizona State back in May of 2014. He lasted just over a year in Cleveland before he was waived at the start of the 2015 season and later signed to the Cardinals’ practice squad.
The Texans signed Nelson to a future/reserve contract but he was among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason. Houston signed him to their practice squad a day later and eventually promoted to the active roster.
The Patriots signed him to their practice last week only to cut him loose on Monday.
In 2016, Nelson appeared in 11 games for the Texans and recorded 20 total tackles, one interception, and two pass defenses.
